Founded by alumni from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), LASRI blends academic excellence with grassroots action to create sustainable solutions through policy-driven research.

About Us
LASRI was envisioned during the COVID-19 pandemic when reverse migration exposed long-standing vulnerabilities in Bihar’s social fabric. With limited industrial presence, declining agricultural viability, and rising migration, the state faces deep-rooted challenges. Founded by passionate professionals from TISS, LASRI aims to bridge the gap between academic research and practical policy implementation to support inclusive development.
