This policy applies to all financial transactions conducted through the LASRI website, including programme registrations, course enrolments, workshop fees, and voluntary donations. Please read this policy carefully before making any payment.

1. Donations

1.1 Voluntary Donations

All donations made to LASRI are voluntary contributions in support of our research and social development mission. Donations are generally non-refundable. However, if a donation was made in error (such as a duplicate transaction or incorrect amount), please contact us within 7 days of the transaction date. LASRI will review such requests on a case-by-case basis.

1.2 Refund Processing for Erroneous Donations

Approved refunds for erroneous donations will be processed within 10–15 working days to the original payment method. LASRI reserves the right to deduct any applicable payment gateway charges from the refunded amount.

2. Programme & Course Registration Fees

2.1 Cancellation by the Participant

If a registered participant wishes to cancel their enrolment, the following refund schedule applies:

• Cancellation 15 or more days before the programme start date: 80% refund of the registration fee
• Cancellation 8 to 14 days before the programme start date: 50% refund of the registration fee
• Cancellation 7 days or fewer before the programme start date: No refund

All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to lasri.institute@gmail.com with your full name, registration confirmation number, and reason for cancellation.

2.2 Cancellation or Rescheduling by LASRI

In the event that LASRI cancels or significantly reschedules a programme, registered participants will be notified at the earliest opportunity and offered one of the following:

• A full refund of the registration fee
• A credit transfer to a future edition of the same or a similar programme

LASRI is not liable for any travel, accommodation, or incidental expenses incurred by participants in such cases.

3. How to Request a Refund

To initiate a refund request, please:

• Email us at lasri.institute@gmail.com with the subject line: ‘Refund Request — [Your Name] — [Programme/Transaction Name]’
• Include your full name, contact number, date of transaction, and transaction reference or receipt number
• Clearly state the reason for your refund request

Our team will acknowledge your request within 2 working days and communicate the outcome within 7 working days.

4. Refund Method

Approved refunds will be processed to the original source of payment (bank account, UPI, or card) within 10–15 working days of approval. LASRI is not responsible for any delays caused by your bank or payment provider.

5. Non-Refundable Items

The following are non-refundable under all circumstances:

• Donations made in support of LASRI’s general operations, unless made in error
• Partial registration fees or scholarship-subsidised fees
• Administrative or processing fees charged at the time of registration

6. Disputes

If you are dissatisfied with our response to a refund request, you may escalate the matter by writing directly to the Director at lasri.institute@gmail.com. LASRI is committed to resolving all disputes fairly and promptly.
